What should we do if the motor of mining electric locomotive is damp?

Although the mining electric locomotive is not a precision instrument, it is still easy to be damaged when it gets wet, especially the important places such as the motor. Although it will be avoided as much as possible, there will always be accidents, so what should be done when the mining electric locomotive is damp? There are three main methods to deal with the moisture problem of mining electric locomotive motor: hot air drying, desiccant and drying.

Hot air drying requires a special air drying room, blowing hot air in through the air inlet, and then out through the air outlet. The air-drying room can also be temporarily built with heat-insulating materials. Because the hot air is relatively light, it is recommended to open the air inlet at the bottom and the air outlet at the top. Hot air can also use special equipment, or use iron sheets to make a simple heating chamber.

The desiccant is to use chemical reagents such as calcium oxide to react with water to absorb the water in the mining electric locomotive. However, it should be noted that the water absorption reaction is generally an exothermic reaction, so be careful not to burn the coil, such as calcium oxide and water will release a lot of heat.

Drying is to use some small items that can release heat to bake various parts of the damp mining electric locomotive, such as incandescent lamps, but it should also be noted that the incandescent lamps cannot be close to the coils to prevent the coils from being burned.

The above is the treatment method for mining electric locomotives affected by damp.
