On September 14, 2026, HNYT shipped two 2.5 ton mining electric locomotive , one 5 ton mining electric locomotive and a batch of spare parts to a gold mine in South America. The customer plans to alternate the two smaller locomotives for underground haulage and use the 5 ton unit for surface transport. This combination addresses the mine’s long overall transport distance and its need to reduce production downtime caused by waiting for transport.

The 2.5 ton and 5 ton designations refer to locomotive weight. The approximate hauling loads are selection references, not guaranteed payloads for every route. Actual loads require assessment of gradients, curves, wagon weight, track conditions and braking requirements.

The shipment photographs show the yellow battery locomotives lined up on the workshop rails before dispatch. Transparent stretch film covers the bodywork, with additional wrapping visible around the upper components and lamps. The equipment was then loaded onto the delivery truck for the first stage of its overseas journey.
The accompanying parts were packed in wooden cases of different sizes. Labels on the cases identify locomotive parts, while handling symbols indicate orientation and protection from moisture. The cases were prepared alongside the locomotives, bringing the vehicles and their supporting parts together in the same dispatch.

The customer’s main transport challenge is the total distance covered across underground and surface operations. Longer transport cycles can leave production waiting for the next available locomotive. The planned use of two 2.5 ton units underground is intended to reduce that waiting time by alternating their haulage duties.
The 5 ton mining electric locomotive is assigned to surface transport, with a higher reference hauling load than each smaller unit. Giving the underground and surface stages their own equipment lets the mine allocate transport capacity to the different parts of its production process. For this project, the mine battery locomotive order therefore combines two sizes around a specific operating plan: alternating underground movements and separate surface haulage.
