1. Mechanical braking uses the handwheel to control the friction between the brake shoe and the wheel, and the inertial performance of the brake deceleration of the locomotive is mainly consumed on the friction between the brake shoe and the wheel. The handwheel brake shoe has the advantages of simple structure and convenient operation, but it is limited to low speed, small tonnage and low requirements on the braking effect. There are often problems such as incomplete braking, poor emergency response ability, and serious brake shoe wear. The braking distance is 14-15 meters.
2. What is air brake? Air brake is to use air pressure to bring hand power, compressed by an air compressor to an air pump, and then driven by the air pump to brake, with a braking distance of 7-8 meters. It has the advantages of fast response speed, large braking force and convenient operation, and is suitable for occasions with high speed, large tonnage and high braking effect requirements. Low cost, convenient installation, convenient maintenance and repair (suitable for vehicles over 6 tons)
3. What is hydraulic brake? The inertial performance of the electric locomotive is converted into hydraulic energy. The converted hydraulic energy can be used for auxiliary braking through the piston rod of the hydraulic cylinder. At the same time, the handwheel needs to be converted into a tie rod type. The driver pulls the tie rod in the control room to transfer the force through the shaft and transmission rod And the brake lever makes the brake shoe press the wheel to achieve braking. The existing problems of insufficient braking force, low degree of automation, long idle stroke of the electric locomotive and poor emergency response ability of the hand wheel brake shoe brake system of the existing mine electric locomotive are improved.
