According to the safety rules of mining locomotive, The braking distance of the each locomotive shall be measured at least once a year, and it shall not exceed 40m when transporting materials; it shall not exceed 20m when transporting people.
Measures to be taken when the locomotive stops within the specified braking distance
(1) Towing vehicles according to the prescribed number and not overloading.
(2) Don't speed or drive on speed.
(3) Ensure that the electric locomotive is in good condition, especially the braking device must meet the requirements of the integrity standard.
(4) Strictly follow the operating procedures during operation.
